9/29/2015 0 Comments ReadCon! Carbon Valley Regional Library - scene of the September 26 ReadCon 2015 ReadCon was promoted as an invitation to "party at the library." The best part about the event was seeing teenagers, parents, and children enjoying the library on a Saturday evening. Firestone Colorado is a long haul from Colorado Springs. The trip was made easier when I met friend and fellow Five Star author Liesa Malik http://liesamalik.com/wp_lmalik/ at her home. She drove the rest of the trip, cutting my drive in half. Neither of us knew what to expect. This was a new event for us, a trip into the unknown. We spotted the library at last, rising from an expanse of prairie. Friendly library staff and volunteers met us at the door. The facility is only 8 years old, and had a crisp, fresh feel. After we arranged our tables, Liesa and I wandered around meeting other authors, and chatting with friends from Rocky Mountain Mystery Writers of America.
